First Aid for Schools
Course description
This course has been tailored to suit the needs of anyone working in a school environment. It provides information about specific child-related conditions as well as more general conditions which could affect both adults and children alike. It will equip the first aider with the skills needed to deal with a child who is suffering from a respiratory emergency, traumatic injury and a medical/emergency condition.
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at school teachers, teaching assistants, lunchtime supervisors, administrative staff and any other employees working in a school environment.
What skills will they learn?
- Dealing with unconsciousness
- Resuscitation
- Dealing with choking
- Treating bleeding
- Treating asthma
- Dealing with head injuries
- Treating seizures
- Dealing with burns and scalds
How long will their life-saving skills last?
The certificate issued on this course will be valid for 3 years.
How long will the course last?
This course is run over 1 day, usually from 09.00 till 16.00.
Is there an assessment?
Candidates are continually assessed but there is no formal assessment, you will be pleased to hear.
Where is the venue?
We can either come to train at a venue of your choice or you can come to us.
