Basic First Aid
Course Description
This course is designed to give people from any background basic first aid skills and the knowledge to be able to deal with a range of more common conditions. It also covers resuscitation for babies and children, as well as adults. This course is not recommended if you are doing First Aid for your workplace due to it not being HSE approved like our workplace courses.
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at anybody who wishes to learn the basics of first aid, regardless of employment background.
What skills will they learn?
- Dealing with unconsciousness
- Resuscitation
- How to treat bleeding
- Dealing with choking
- Treating burns and scalds
- Treating fractures
How long will the course last?
This course is run over 1 day, usually from 09.00 until 16.00.
Is there an assessment?
Candidates are continually assessed but there is no formal assessment, you will be pleased to hear.
Where is the venue?
We can either come to train at a venue of your choice or you can come to us.
